Primary Operational Objectives:
The Truck Driver’s primary objective is to deliver or haul landscape materials to various job sites. The Truck Driver is required to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle providing excellent service to customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites across Colorado and surrounding states
- Haul a variety of loads including aggregates, pallets, and trail or construction equipment
- Assist with securing loads using chains, straps, and binders in compliance with DOT and company policies
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure routine vehicle maintenance is completed or reported
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, deliveries, and maintenance using electronic logging systems
- Communicate with project managers and superintendents for efficient delivery timing and coordination
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial vehicle operations
- Provide labor support when needed (e.g., unloading, helping with jobsite deliveries)
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of vehicle and self
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (use of lifting equipment or 2-person lift over 50lbs.)
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching, and standing
- Must be able to work in extremely hot and cold temperatures
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience driving End Dumps, Flatbeds, and Lowboys
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Familiarity with hauling equipment, construction materials, and safely navigating job sites
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Must have a smartphone with the ability to download and use mobile apps
- Maintain a professional appearance, including personal hygiene and grooming, to represent the company in the best possible way
DESIRED QUALITIES:
- Tanker or Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Forklift or skid steer experience a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
